Learning, Living, and Growing Together in Nature
A multi-day, overnight experience where learning comes alive in the forest, by the river, and all around us.
At Waskowitz Outdoor School, students live and learn alongside their classmates building independence, strengthening relationships, and developing a deeper sense of community. Often, multiple schools share the Waskowitz campus at the same time, providing real-world opportunities for students to practice important social-emotional learning skills like communication, cooperation, and empathy.
The Waskowitz Way
At Waskowitz, nature is the classroom. Students slow down, observe closely, ask questions, and use evidence to explore the Waskowitz ecosystem - a living lab of logs, lichen, fungi, insects, and wildlife. Every hike and conversation reveals the connections in nature.
Designed for Discovery
Our program blends structured lessons with time for curiosity, exploration, and reflection. Whether examining life in the soil or touching moss on a log, each experience inspires wonder, respect, and care for the environment.

Choose Your Adventure
Program Costs
- 2-day, 1-night program: $200 per student/chaperone
- 3-day, 2-night program: $300 per student/chaperone
- 4-day, 3-night program: $400 per student/chaperone
- Teachers are free
Choose how you want to schedule your 2026–2027 school year program:
• Complete the program request form, and we’ll follow up with you to schedule your date
OR
• Call us to schedule your program first, then complete the form afterward
Once your form is submitted and your date is scheduled, we’ll send a contract. Your program will be officially reserved once we receive the signed contract and non-refundable deposit. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions—we’re happy to help every step of the way!
